Whanganui Safe and Free Incorporated will provide therapy, whanau/family support and advocacy and education programs, to those who have been directly or indirectly affected by sexual abuse in our community.

Our mission

• To have a centre that works with the community in support of the healing and advocacy of those who have been impacted by sexual abuse. That this is achieved with wisdom, care, trust, responsibility, partnership and knowledge.
• To be guided by a governance board establishing policies which underpin and strengthen the vision in the service of our community.
• To provide professional therapy to heal, and whanau/family support for those who are impacted by sexual abuse.
• To provide education informing individuals, whanau/families and the community about the impact of sexual abuse.

Our philosophy

Recognising survivors as the experts of their experience, we professionally promote a strengths based commitment to achieve client’s autonomy, self-determination, integrity, confidence, self-esteem to achieve healing, in conjunction with our work in prevention of sexual abuse in our community.
